English for the Workplace

Language confidence that opens doors to new careers.

Our English for the Workplace program helps unemployed and vulnerable women in Armenia build the language confidence and communication skills that open new career opportunities and lead to lasting economic independence. Priority goes to refugee women and women from war-affected families.

Why English Matters for Work

Many employers in Armenia, from tourism and services to technology and international organizations, look for staff who can communicate in English. For women searching for a job, limited English can close doors before an interview even begins.

For refugee women and women from war-affected families, the barrier is even higher. Many have had to start over in a new city, often without the time or money for private language classes, while supporting their families on their own.

Our course focuses on the English women actually need at work, so they can apply for more jobs, speak with confidence and grow in their careers.

More Than a Language

Learning English also builds self-confidence. Each new conversation, email or interview in English shows a woman what she is capable of. In a supportive group, participants encourage each other and gain the courage to pursue new opportunities.

English for the Workplace works hand in hand with our Career Empowerment, Digital Literacy and AI Skills programs, so each woman can build the full set of skills today's employers expect.

Building Futures, One Conversation at a Time

Every cohort brings new voices, new goals and new success stories. With each course, we refine our curriculum based on what participants tell us they need most at work. Our goal stays the same: to help every woman speak with confidence, apply for the jobs she deserves, and build a future of lasting independence for herself and her family.
