Rebuilding confidence and careers after displacement.
Many women lose their careers for different reasons: war, displacement, a long break to raise children or care for family, or a changed job market. Our Career Empowerment program helps women who are out of work, with priority for war-affected women and women displaced from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), rebuild their confidence, recognize their skills, and re-enter Armenia's job market with a clear professional direction.

Why Career Empowerment Matters
Many women in Armenia want to work but struggle to find a job. Some have been out of the workforce for years and feel their skills are out of date. Others have experience but don't know how to present it to employers or where to look for opportunities.
For women displaced from Artsakh, the challenge is even greater. Many were teachers, accountants, nurses, managers, and business owners. Overnight, they lost their workplaces, their professional networks, and often the documents that proved their experience. Now they must compete for jobs in a new city while caring for their families.
Their skills did not disappear. What these women often need is the confidence, guidance and tools to present their skills to employers and adapt them to today's job market.
How the Program Helps
Our Career Empowerment course guides each woman from uncertainty to a clear plan for her next step. Participants:
- Recognize their strengthsIdentify the skills and experience they already have, and how those skills transfer to new roles.
- Explore new opportunitiesLearn which sectors are hiring in Armenia and where their profile fits best.
- Present themselves with confidencePrepare a strong CV, practice interviews and learn to speak about their experience with pride.
- Plan their next stepSet realistic professional goals, whether that means a new job, further training or starting their own business.
More Than a Job Search
Finding work is also about regaining a sense of purpose and independence. Learning alongside other women facing similar challenges creates a strong support network. Many participants leave the course with renewed confidence, new connections and a clear picture of their future.
Career Empowerment works hand in hand with our English for the Workplace, Digital Literacy and AI Skills programs, so each woman can build the full set of skills today's employers expect.
